After LASIK
Immediately after your LASIK procedure, it is unlikely you will feel any pain. Some people describe mild burning or itching for a couple of hours after getting home, but we'll tell you about some special "tricks" that usually reduce or eliminate even these mild symptoms. The vast majority of our patients report little or no discomfort at all following their procedure. Your vision will likely be somewhat blurry for the rest of the day of your procedure. The next morning, however, most people wake up to a dramatic improvement in vision.

You'll be asked to wear a clear plastic shield until you're seen by Dr. Feldman the next day. You'll continue to wear that shield during sleep for the first week after the procedure. Eyedrops are usually prescribed for a few days. You'll be asked not to rub the eye. You may bathe and shower the next day, but you'll be asked to avoid swimming or using hot tubs for the first 2 weeks. Women are asked not to wear make-up for the first week. Otherwise, there are no restrictions on your activities. The doctor will generally see you on the day after your procedure, about a week later, and a few weeks after that. And at One to One LASIK™, those visits are usually filled with lots of hugs and smiles!!
